About this activity

Disconnect from stress on the paradisiacal beaches of Catalina Island, a piece of paradise in the Caribbean where you can enjoy water sports in its crystal clear waters. We leave in the early hours of the morning from the hotels in Punta Cana and Bayahibe, in buses with comfort and air conditioning, to reach the wonderful city of La Romana. Get on board when you arrive at the port in the Multhull, all the fun of our leaders takes us to one of the most beautiful coral reefs in the Dominican Republic, where you can do Diving and Snorkeling if you wish. Then we continue to Catalina Island to enjoy a refreshing swim, while whoever wants can also snorkel. We eat a delicious buffet lunch, while having delicious drinks. In the afternoon return to the Catamaran back to the Port of La Romana to start the return to the hotel.

Itinerary

  1. 1
    Catalina Island

5 hr - Then we continue to Catalina Island to enjoy a refreshing swim, while whoever wants can also snorkel. We eat a delicious buffet lunch and take some classes of merengue and bachata, as we take some delicious drinks.

  2. 2
    Stop 2

2 hr - a stop is made at the natural swimming pool at Playa Palmilla, about 200 or 300 meters from the beach line, with the water at the knees or at the waist, to enjoy the perfect scenery and climate. Bathers have to enjoy around 800 meters parallel to the beach, between the white sand and the huge coral terrace that separates the natural pool from the open sea and that makes this geological wonder possible.

Things you need to know

The people were super friendly. We danced and drank on the catamaran, went snorkeling for about 30 minutes before we were called back to the boat, then went to hang out on the beach on Catalina island for i think about 1.5 hours then we got put on another boat back to la roma where they finally fed us. On the island we got a little cut of a sandwich and 3 pieces of fruit so i would recommend bringing lots of snacks and sunblock. If you get motion sick at all be sure to bring some pills for that we had a few on the boat that weren't having a good time because of it. Wasn't a bad trip just the food thing is what made a lot of people mad and the unorganized manner once they dropped us off at the hard rock and couldn't figure out who was supposed to get in what shuttle to head back to the resort. At 3:30 they finally fed us a really good meal but after all that sun and swimming people need more food at around 11 to hold them over till 3:30.
