Fantastic trip, cheaper and easier than using a resort rep too. Found on trip advisor, and booked through Viator. Emailed and Facebook messages confirmed the trip and pick up times from our hotel. Alex, our guide spoke very good English and took care of all our needs to make sure we had a great time.

We enjoyed this excursion with Alex, our snorkeling guide, Adley our photographer and El Capitan (Don’t remember his name). They were kind and attentive. Our daughter had trouble with her snorkel gear but they swapped out her equipment and got her settled in the water. We saw more fish than expected—not the most colorful but definitely a variety of pretty fish! I was a little surprised by the photographer’s fee ($100) but we got a lot of photos on a CD that we certainly would not have been able to take. Highly recommend this tour for anyone who wants to avoid the drunk party boats and enjoy the snorkeling and swimming as a family with kids.

I called contact number the day before. Charlene organized everything, down to texting me photos of driver and tour operator's logo (Thom's Tours). Driver Juan was waiting for us as we disembarked cruise ship. Drove to beach in Bavaro, about 15min drive. This was a private tour for family of four (kids 13 and 12). Plus boat driver, guide, and photographer. Glass bottom boat took us first to snorkeling area, mostly fish, sandy bottom, a few corals and urchins. Water about 10' deep. Guide got in water with ? oatmeal to entice fish to gather around us. Next was sting rays (stingers removed) and nurse sharks. This was a walled off area within the ocean, about 4-5' deep. And yes you can get in water with them. Third stop was an area to swim and frolic around off shore, sandy bottom, about 4' deep. Very enjoyable. Photographer with $$$ Nikon right in water with you as much as you desire. Photos if you wish are emailed as a single lot, very reasonable. Sodas, beer, local rum drink, fruit, chips/dip included. Arrived back to beach and had a great lunch at the adjacent restaurant Langosta Roja (not the US Red Lobster fortunately). Had time to shop, sit on beach, leave whenever we were ready. No complaints whatsoever. Great bang for the buck and personal, compared to cruise ship "excursions".
Relaxing, private tout

Relaxing private adventure led by very friendly and helpful guides Alex and Yayo. Snorkeling, Sharks, stingrays, starfish, swimming in a natural pool. Loved that we didn't have to share the boat with 50 other people, but yet we paid about the same. Highly recommend!!!!
